NOTICE

NASCAR and Goodyear will be tire testing at Watkins Glen on June 1st and 2nd. Phoenix CMR Inc. intended to be on track Tuesday June 1st as the second day of our two day rental. In the twenty-three years that I've been renting the track, this is the first time we've had a schedule conflict like this.

 So what do we do? After several phone calls and e-mails, the only reasonable option is to extend the Monday schedule to a day and a half. The normal daily schedule is broken up into two blocks of time. One block in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each block contains two sets of three runs groups so each person gets two sessions in each block and therefore four for the day. The new schedule for Monday will be three blocks, which will give us three quarters of the normal two day schedule. We will be on track one half hour earlier and go until 7:45 PM with our normal lunch break and a half hour dinner break for the participants and track crew. The event cost has been adjusted down to reflect the schedule change. All discounts are still in effect. My initial request to the track was to run one block Sunday night allowing us to run our complete schedule. However, the preceding weekend is a race weekend and the track is not available for Sunday evening rental.  All indications are that this will be a one-time occurrence and I look forward to a full two day schedule for 2011.

The August event dates are unaffected.

The sign up form for the June event has been modified to reflect the change.
